About Me
I'm an undergraduate at Harvard studying computer science and math. My academic interests have largely tended towards theory and rigorous treatments of topics such as computation and algorithms, but I came to the field via a lasting love for getting hands on and building product.
At the time an aspiring middle school novelist, 13-year-old me first dabbled in programming out of intrigue for the challenge of it all - the complex way so many threads would have to be pulled together coherently to solve a problem. Now, years later, it's still that sense of room for growth that excites and inspires me.
Every project and work experience I've engaged with has proven to be such an opportunity to learn, and conversely shown that the software profession - whether through its mentors, role models, or the projects themselves - is entirely ready and able to teach. I can't wait to make the most of it.

Some things I’ve done
Here’s a little select work and project experiences from recent years that I’ve written a bit about.
Let’s
Whether you mean strictly business, or you’re just looking to be carried in Rocket League, I’d love to get in touch: mkarle2178@gmail.com
And if you’re in Cambridge, you might find me involved with this good stuff on campus:
Dunster House
The objectively greatest house. Find me in the dining hall, running Smash Ultimate with the blockmates, or representing on the pitch for as many intramurals as I can manage. Roll Moose!
HOC
The Harvard Outing Club is my favorite thing that I'm up to on campus right now! Great people and the great outdoors - what’s not to love?
FOP
The first-year outdoor program is an amazing orientation for incoming freshmen, and fittingly has one of the most wonderful communities on campus.
CS50 Course Assistant
A big part of my fall semester! Weekly tutorials were not only an excuse to post up in Dunster D-Hall but also to enjoy some teaching.
Jamming Out
Not in a formal group but I love to play music! Piano is my main, but I dabble in guitar, bass, drums, and even a little singing.
Lifting
If we’re being real, I do spend a good bit of time at the gym. Currently trying to run an nSuns program.
